Academic Qualification
The scheme places a high importance upon education and players get the best of both worlds by gaining qualifications which are not only recognised by sporting bodies but can enable them to keep their options open for as long as possible career outside of football or to pursue higher education, possibly university.
Along with the football coaching and a timetable of the school, we specialise in the BTEC Diploma in Sport, which if completed with the correct assignments is equivalent to 3 'A' Levels. This means a direct route to university if that is what the student wants.
National Diplomas are highly regarded by both employers and universities.
Further details can bee seen in the Castle Community College prospectus which you can order by Contacting Us.
The academic requirement to join the BTEC National Diploma Course is 5 GCSE passes at 'C' or above, including Merit at BTEC Sport Level 2 Diploma or GCSE PE Grade C.
